Ukrainian blueberry producers are cooperating to form large batches of goods

A large number of blueberry plots of 5-10 hectares are appearing across Ukraine, which are united into cooperatives in order to be able to supply the required commercial quantities of berries on time, including for export, EastFruit reports. This information was shared by Oleg Bazyuk, owner of the Dolina Agro nursery, which actively sells blueberry seedlings to Ukrainian and foreign berry producers.

In an interview with the magazine “Gardening in Ukrainian,” Oleg Bazyuk said that this year the Dolina Agro company exported 120 thousand seedlings to Kazakhstan, and there is still a request from there.

In addition, Dolina Agro also exports to Moldova and other countries. For the spring of next year, all products in Dolina have been sold. According to Bazyuk, many are now planning to plant blueberries mainly for export.

“Transcarpathia still produces early berries,” adds Oleg Bazyuk. – Mid-late varieties – Lviv region and its north are ideal for them. Here the berries gain sugar content, there is enough sun.”

Soon Dolina Agro will expand its in vitro laboratory by 10 workplaces, has automated accounting and continues to grow rhododendron seedlings going to the Ukrainian market.
