By 2023, Pivdenmash has pledged to produce 5,000 electric buses and 7,800 charging stations.
This is stated in the Memorandum of Cooperation, signed by the State Space Agency of Ukraine, the State Enterprise "Production Association Southern Machine-Building Plant. OM Makarov "and the South Korean company Caris, reports yuzhmash.com.
The parties approved a program of joint actions to localize the production of electric buses and charging stations, exchange licensing agreements and technologies, plan joint participation in exhibitions, discuss opportunities and potential for exporting electric buses to Europe.
The agreement provides for the signing of contracts worth 23 billion hryvnias, with production dates until 2023.
"Pivdenmash was underloaded for a long time and was in a difficult economic situation, but was able to fully maintain the efficiency and efficiency of the machine-building enterprise," said Pivdenmash CEO Serhiy Voit. "Cooperation with Caris will not only financially rehabilitate the company, but also preserve the scientific and technical potential, revive large-scale engineering."
Caris Group is currently implementing road infrastructure development projects in Ukraine.
